The Bluey's Annual Charity Day was a roaring success with well over 100 people attending. There was live entertainment from Emma Kennedy and More Than One, stalls from Roxtons and others and two midday polo matches. We were blessed with fantastic sunny weather for the entire day and had a well stocked bar and one of Bluey's famous BBQ's.
Our fearless gang of Novice players all took part in their first club game and the 2 goal saw Alistair Brooker's team closely matched with Mark Hayden-Kellard. This was all followed by a prize giving, narrated from start to finish by the wonderful Stuey Lee Davies - Thank you Stuey ! Next we had a fantastic charity auction, held by the ever so witty Matt Pinney, which helped to bring the total raised for Horseworld to £1400.
Stephen Poole from Horseworld also spent the day with us, giving a brief speech to educate us about the charity's work with abused and neglected equines. Thank you Stephen for taking time out of your busy schedule!
Thank you also to all our wonderful contributors, supporters and volunteers. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
More pictures from the day, taken by the talented Tony Mearman, can be found on the Bluey's Facebook page.
